Dr. Victor Vallo, Jr.

Dr. Victor Vallo, Jr. is an Associate Professor of Music at Anderson College where he is the Coordinator of Music Education and Music Director of the AC Wind Symphony. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Syracuse University with performance honors in trumpet, a Master of Music in Musicology from George Washington University, and a Ph.D. in Music Education with an emphasis in orchestral conducting from the University of Florida. He served as the Director of Instrumental Music at Southern Arkansas University from 1992-1993 where he founded and conducted the SAU Chamber Orchestra. From 1993-1999 Dr. Vallo served as Associate Professor of Music and Music Director of the Jacksonville State University Chamber Orchestra in Alabama. Dr. Vallo has conducted a number of All-State and Festival orchestras and will conduct one of the South Carolina All-State orchestras in March 2001. In September 2000 Dr. Vallo became the first Music Director of the newly formed Greenville Community Chamber Orchestra.
